SHOCKING<<< SKALES DROPPED BY EME RECORDS

Reports reaching us have it that popular rapper and singer, Skales, have been dropped by his record label, Empire Mates Entertainment (EME).
The split which was by mutual agreement, was necessitated by the expiration of his contract with the Banky W-led recording house. According to our sources, Skales’s contract with EME had expired, and the company directors, didn’t think it was profitable to renew his contract with him.
Skales was signed to EME in 2010, on a 3-year contract, and amidst a number of hit songs such as Mukulu, Take Care Of Me, and Komole, he had not truly risen to the top of mainstream Nigerian music. His situation was not helped by the meteoric rise of his label-mate, Wizkid. So he was dropped.
Further confirmation of the report can be gotten from social media, as Skales has taken off EME from his Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts, but no official word has been received from him or his representatives. All efforts to contact him and our contacts at EME have yielded no result.
With the departure of Skales, EME only has 4 acts left, including Wizkid, Niyola, Shaydee, Banky W, and DJ Xclusive.
So what next for Skales? He’s still with M.et.al Management, so we’re awaiting his new direction. We will keep you updated.

ADEBOLAJO, ADEBOWALE KILLERS OF BRITISH SOLDIER CONVICTED

A Muslim extremist was jailed for life and his accomplice for 45 years on Wednesday for hacking British soldier Lee Rigby to death on a London street in a “terrorist” killing that shocked the nation.
Michael Adebolajo, 29, and Michael Adebowale, 22, were dragged from the dock in the Old Bailey court in London after they started screaming “Allahu akbar” (God is greater) at the judge during the sentencing.
The pair of Muslim converts were found guilty in December of ploughing into Rigby with a car before attacking him with knives in broad daylight outside his barracks in Woolwich, southeast London, in May 2013.
Judge Nigel Sweeney ordered Adebolajo to spend the rest of his life behind bars without the possibility of parole for killing Rigby, who had previously served in Afghanistan, and said Adebowale had to serve a minimum of 45 years.
“This was a murder with a terrorist connection,” the judge said, describing the killing as “sickening and pitiless”.
He said a whole-life prison term was a “just penalty” for Adebolajo, who had proclaimed his admiration for the Al-Qaeda terror network, but that the younger man’s “lesser role” meant he would get a shorter sentence.
Adebolajo and Adebowale, both Britons who were raised by Nigerian Christian families before converting to Islam, said they had attacked the off-duty soldier to avenge the deaths of Muslims at the hands of British troops.
Minutes before the sentencing, Adebolajo started shouting “Allahu akbar” and Adebowale called out “that’s a lie” in response to claims that they had been radicalised.
They scuffled with guards before being carried down to the holding cells and were not in court to hear their penalties read out.
The sentencing had been delayed for several weeks because the judge wanted clarification on a European ruling that made it uncertain whether life sentences could still be imposed.
England’s Court of Appeal upheld the right to do so on February 18.
Far-right protesters jostled with police outside the court before the pair were sentenced, an AFP photographer said.
They carried a portable hangman’s gallows, waved British flags and chanted slogans calling for the restoration of the death penalty.
Rigby’s family, including his parents and the mother of his child, arrived at the court wearing T-shirts emblazoned with a photograph of the 25-year-old fusilier and the words: “Justice For Lee Rigby”.
       The pair were shot and wounded by armed police at the murder scene after Adebolajo charged at them waving the cleaver, while Adebowale raised a rusty, unloaded gun.
The convicted killers claimed they were “soldiers of Islam” and therefore justified in their actions.
The Rigby murder stunned Britain and sparked a rise in community tensions, with several mosques attacked by arsonists. British Muslim leaders deplored the killing.
The brutal daylight attack also raised questions for British intelligence agencies as Adebolajo was known to the security services, having been arrested in Kenya in 2010 and deported.
Sweeney had held off passing sentence in December because the European Court of Human Rights last year condemned the punishment whole-life terms as a violation of prisoners’ rights, causing the Court of Appeal to launch their review.

JONATHAN'S DIRTY DEAL BEHIND MINISTER'S SACK

Jonathan had, on Wednesday, fired Princess Stella Oduah, Minister of Aviation; Elder Godsday Orubebe, Minister of Niger Delta; Caleb Olubolade, Minister of Police Affairs and Yerima Ngama, Minister of State for Finance. This came barely one month after the president removed the service chiefs and appointed new ones.
Daily Sun gathered that the sack of the four ministers is part of the trade-off Jonathan has made, in his quest to seek re-election.
Competent sources revealed that some elements in South-West had specifically asked Jonathan to sack Oduah and Mike Oghiadomhe, the former chief of staff to the president, if he wants to get the zone’s support in 2015.
It was gathered that the South-West has also requested that replacements for Oduah and Oghiadomhe should come from South-West, as a proof that Jonathan is not marginalising the zone.
Opposition, however, has greeted the latter request, as some elements in the Presidency are insisting that whichever minister is sacked should be replaced by somebody from the zone.
Sources also revealed that the sack of the service chiefs was due to the request some politicians from the North made, for them to support Jonathan’s second term bid.
It was gathered that the northern elements specifically asked for either the post of Chief of Army Staff or Chief of Defence Staff, with the president opting for the latter.
In appointing the Chief of Defence Staff, Jonathan changed the sequence, as the post rotates among the Army, Navy and Air Force. While the Navy and the air force produced the last two Chief of Defence Staff, the Army was expected to take its turn now.
To please the North, as the zone requested, Jonathan appointed Alex Badeh from the Air Force, making it possible for two air men to serve as CDS within a space of six years.
Daily Sun gathered that as the 2015 general elections gets close, Jonathan will make more concessions to political blocks he thinks would be useful in his second term bid.

Kanye West’s Nike Air Yeezy II has come and gone. The long-awaited sneaker, nicknamed “Red October,” quietly went on sale early Sunday and sold out within minutes.

Without warning, Nike tweeted a purchase link to their online store at 1 p.m. EST. Only 11 minutes later, the $245 shoe was sold out, leaving many fans upset that they couldn’t get their hands on a pair.
It’s unknown if Nike plans to release more online or at retail stores.
Nike launched the original Air Yeezy in 2009 and followed it up with two colorways of the Air Yeezy II in 2012. Due to the limited quantity, the shoe fetched as much as $90,000 on eBay.
While Kanye was seen wearing the sneaker at his concerts, the “Red Octobers” had yet to see an official release and there was growing doubt that they ever would after Kanye severed ties with Nike.
He has since partnered with adidas and is currently working on his first collection.

But tech blogger Carter Thomas said the sudden popularity of Flappy Bird might have been due to use of fake accounts run by computers to create downloads and reviews.
Thomas said he couldn't prove his suspicion and that the success of Flappy Bird might also be explained by it being "just a wildly viral game."
Dong, from Hanoi, wrote on Twitter on Saturday that the Internet sensation caused by the game "ruins my simple life" and he now hated it.
"I will take Flappy Bird down. I cannot take this anymore," he wrote.
Dong had agreed to talk to The Associated Press about the game in an interview scheduled for Friday, but canceled.
On Twitter he didn't address the inflated downloads allegation but denied suggestions he was withdrawing the game because it breached another game maker's copyright.
"It is not anything related to legal issues. I just cannot keep it anymore," he wrote.

COURT STOPS RAPPER VECTOR FROM SINGING AGAIN IN NIGERIA....................

 

Rapper Vector da viper aka Olanrewaju Ogunmefun,   must have incurred the wrath of his record label, YSG Entertainment Ltd., as the outfit has brought a court interlocutory injunction on the fast rising entertainer, restraining him from doing any form of music business including;
“recording, releasing, distributing any composition, song, musical works or carrying out any activity as a recording or performing artist through or for the benefit of any person or organization other than YSG Entertainment Ltd., for constituting a breach of his record contract extension agreement and assignment and license agreement which he entered into on the 26 of October, 2011.”
According to investigations carried out by Pulse.ng, Vector actually breached his contractual terms with YSG by moving away to join another label and together, they formed their own label.
But with this injunction, it remains to be seen where the rapper will pitch his tent, as we also hear that the man he teamed up with has even denied doing any business with the music maker.
Vector should learn from the example of another singer, Brymo, who fell out with his record label, Chocolate City last year and was promptly taken to court by the Audu Maikori led label and since then, Brymo’s career has been stunted.

Nicki Minaj made headlines when rumors went around the internet that she could be pregnant with Lil Wayne‘s child. According to reports, reps for both Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne have finally squashed all speculations.

Last Monday RumorFix got wind of a rumor that Nicki Minaj was preggers with Lil Wayne’s baby. We can finally confirm that this story is absolutely false! A rep for both Weezy and the Superbass singer told RumorFix exclusively that the gossip is just that — gossip! Rumors of a pregnancy began swirling after urban website ThyBlackMan.com alleged that the superstar duo “recently got word” that “indeed Nicki Minaj is pregnant. To add fire to this drama Lil Wayne supposedly is the father to be,” the website adds, “It seems like Nicki Minaj was just having a fun night and got pregnant.”

The duo, known for their brother-sister type relationship, is said to be birthing a child together in the near future. Rumors began swirling after numerous urban websites began to report the claim. ThyBlackMan.com alleges they “recently got word” that “indeed Nicki Minaj is pregnant. To add fire to this drama Lil Wayne supposedly is the father to be,” the website adds, “It seems like Nicki Minaj was just having a fun night and got pregnant.” One insider apparently also spotted the rapper sporting what appeared to be a baby bump while out to dinner January 2. The snitch adds Minaj made a conscious decision to stick with water that night, which is out of character for the star, who normally consumes alcohol. “Nicki twice made toasts by drinking water instead of wine, and it’s highly unusual for her to toast with anything but a full glass of wine.”

Popular Nigerian artiste, Olu Maintain has shot a very expensive video, with a stunning feature of a Jacuzzi set up inside a private jet. The video and the song, Enough Efizzi will be released by February 10, 2014.
Also, in the quest to make his music more accessible in every part of the world, another Olu Maintain has also signed a worldwide distribution deal with Dej Jam. Def Jam Recordings is an American record label, focused predominantly on hip hop and urban music, owned by Universal Music Group, and operates as a part of The Island Def Jam Music Group.
Speaking concerning the milestone attainment, Olu believes it will further help him and other Nigerian acts to break new grounds.
"{I have a distribution deal with Def Jam Records since digital distribution is an inevitable way to distribute our music to different parts of the world because hard copy CDs don’t move numbers again as they used to. My latest album, ‘Chosen One’ will be released on iTunes and also my new video, Enough Efizzy.
"This would be the first time my material would be available on any marketing digital portal online for easy accessibility by the fans who crave for my music and is ground-breaking for me because it would allow my product to be visible to the world’.
Olu Maintain is noty the first star from these shores to ink a deal of such magnitude. Nigerian stars such as P-Square and D’Banj also have a worldwide distribution deal with Universal Music Group and Dej Jam respectively.

TONTO DIKE SHOUTS AT WIZKID OVER WEARING ARMY UNIFORMS"""YOUR BUSINESS IS MY BUSINESS

Nollywood actress, Tonto Dike is not about to let her very good friend Ayo Balogun, Wizkid get into trouble with the Nigerian army and she has sent him a very stern warning over his use of military uniforms.
The military authorities had released a statement some weeks ago, warning Nigerian entertainers to desist from using their uniform and other apparels while shooting their videos, but the Star Boy flaunted that order and posted a picture of himself wearing a camouflage on his Instagram page and in the spirit of being a big sister, Tonto took to her Twitter handle to advise him against being made a scape-goat by the army, and telling him to take down the picture. Though the duo have not been on very good terms in recent times, often attacking each other on social networks, that did not stop Poko from sending a warning to him. Read what she told him here.

CELEBRITY BOXING MATCH BETWEEN DMX AND GEORGE ZIMMERMAN CANCELED

Although no one really thought it was a good idea to begin with, people were disappointed to learn that the Boxing Match between DMX and George Zimmerman has been canceled. The promoter, Damon Feldman, announced via twitter:
"This was the wrong person to put in the ring and define celebrity boxing thank you," he said. "I walked away from half a million dollar payday with this fight but to be honest I'd rather be happy and make people happy thank you."

He continued to express that he wanted nothing to do with the fight and apologized for it, saying:
"I wasn't being disrespected  to anyone I had a plan here with this fight I'll let you know soon hope everyone is happy I'm very sorry," he tweeted. "I want to thank everyone for the good n bad comments I've made the choice to cancel the fight w George Zimmermann  more to life then  money."

Well, this certainly seems to be a rather sudden change of heart. Perhaps the (understandable) backlash for the event proved to be too much a burden, even considering the money to be made here.
Nevertheless, many who found the very idea of the match morally offensive - making a spectacle out of a very serious, very upsetting issue for profit - will rest a little easier knowing that the match will no longer take place.
   
           its quite obvious the match would be canceled, some one who killed for any reason is not meant to be placed in the celebrity category. However i bet DMX would have beaten the hell out of Zimmerman....lol
